ps - Volatile

[EN] An album by our staff member ps about volatile things and moments. Friendships, relationships, life, random situations. It's about the importance of finding yourself, knowing yourself, not losing track of what's important. Getting used to navigate through the acid burns that life flings at you, but also learning to understand others, learning to understand yourself. This album is meant to be listened at home alone at 3 AM. Considering other people don't appreciate loud sounds at 3 AM you might want to use headphones.

Tracks 1 and 2 feature instrument samples by Amir Baghiri and samples from the movie Still Alice. Track 3 features samples from the series Making a Murderer and the movies Reservoir Dogs, Drunken Master and Zero Theorem. Tracks 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 feature spoken word passages read from the book The Vegetarian. Track 9 features samples from the movie Zero Theorem, Curtis Hoard Videogames, The Straight Road and from a random 80s educational video on Missile Guidance Systems. Tracks 10 and 11 features samples from the series Fargo. Track 11 features sample from the movie Deadpool. All other sounds in conjured by Filipe 'ps' Cruz using Jeskola Buzz. Mixed down using Reaper.

[PT] Um album pelas mãos do nosso membro de staff ps sobre coisas e momentos voláteis. Amizades, relações, vidas, situações aleatórias. É sobre a importância de nos descobrirmos a nós próprios, de nos conhecermos, não perder de vista o que é realmente importante. Habituar-nos a navegar por entre as queimaduras de ácido que a vida nos atira, mas também aprender a compreender os outros e a nós próprios. Este album é para ser ouvido só em casa às 3 da manhã. Considerando que as outras pessoas não costumam apreciar que estejamos a fazer barulho a essa hora sugeria que usassem auscultadores.

Temas 1 e 2 contém samples de instrumentos de Amir Baghiri e samples do filme Still Alice. Tema 3 contém samples do documentário Making a Murderer e dos filmes Reservoir Dogs, Drunken Master e Zero Theorem. Temas 4, 5, 6, 7 e 8 tem passagens lidas do livro The Vegetarian. Tema 9 tem samples dos filmes Zero Theorem, Curtis Hoard Videogames, The Straight Road e dum video educacional dos anos 80 sobre sistemas de navegação dos misseis. Temas 10 e 11 tem samples da série Fargo. Tema 11 tem samples do filme Deadpool. Todos os outros sons foram conjurados por Filipe 'ps' Cruz usando Jeskola Buzz. Misturado usando o Reaper.

* up and download sounds to and from the database, under the same creative commons license
