Kubik - How blue was my sky

"How blue was my sky" is Kubik's newest incursion in the raw IDM's territory, where Victor once again uses obscure cinematographic samples, combining them with dry and stripped down, sometimes chaotic beats, in a language that is now his very own.

Soundscape related, "How blue was my sky" owes as much to dark ambient as it owes to post-industrial influences as to nineties british electronics, Warp style. Highlights go to "Audition" as one of the most successful pieces of Kubik's career. Victor Afonso is alive and kicking. - Pedro Leitão
